A Section Editor is an informal editorial position in Thelemapedia. An SE is generally responsible for a given topical section, most of which have a narrow focus. The general duties of an SE are:
- Establish and maintain standards for how information is presented
- Verify data and sources and correct errors
- Populate the section with quality articles
- Act as moderator when disagreement occurs
Other than that, the rules are not very strict. SEs do not have authority over other editors, although their opinions will hold extra weight in editorial decisions that involve the Executive Editorship. However, all editors can still contribute to articles as always. SEs do have a prime opportunity to shape and influnce how a section is presented and established. It is possible to have more than one SE in a section.
There are dozens of possible sections, and SEs volunteer for the position they are interested in.

Sections that need an SE
There are many sections that could use a Section Editor. The following list are examples of possible sections. However, this list is not at all exhaustive, and any topic that is relevant to Thelemapedia could potentially qualify for a Section Editor. If you are interested in volunteering as a Section Editor, please contact the Managing Editor, Fr. Ash.
