[edit]
Common wiki markup to try
Links:
- To link to Thelemapedia articles, put word(s) in [[double brackets]] (no pipe leads to article called "Double Brackets") or [[double brackets|Zaphod]] (a pipe leads to same article, but the link shows up as "Zaphod")
- To link to an outside address:
- write out the full url: http://www.link.com
- put the full url in single brackets [http://www.link.com] (good for citations)
- put the full url in [http://www.link.com|single brackets] with a pipe (good for the 'External Links" section of an article)
Bold and Italic:
- ''italics''—2 apostrophes on either side, NOT quotation marks
- '''bold'''—3 apostrophes
- '''''bolded italics'''''—5 apostrophes
Thelemapedia has two important conventions:
- Boldface the subject of an article on its first mention (look at the first sentence of this article...)
- Italicize book and movie titles, but not libers (e.g. "Liber O is published in Magick, Book 4" ).
Headings:
- ==Top level heading== (2 equals signs)
- ===Subheading=== (3 equals signs)
- ====Another level down==== (4 equals signs)
- =====Another level down===== (5 equals signs)
Indenting and lists:
- :A colon at the beginning of a line will indent the whole paragraph. More colons make a deeper indention.
- A space at the beginning of a line will also shift the whole line. This is useful for poetry.
- * Use asterisks to make bullet points. More asterisks make deeper indentions.
- # You can use the number sign to make numbered lists.
Templates
There are several useful templates to know, especially: {{stub}}, {{partial}}, and {{thelema}}
