Part of the Numbers in Thelema series.
The formula 0=2 represents the union of opposites. When two opposing things combine, they become annihilated into nothingness. This describes the mystical result of yoga or sex magick.
A more accurate mathematical representation of the formula would be 0 = +1 + -1.
Another way of expressing this mathematically that may be even more precise is as the absolute value (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_value) of the positive and negative terms. The resulting equation would therefore be:
0 = |+1| + |-1| = 2
