I'd like to add some content about Masonic acceptance of Liber AL. In California in 1996 the Grand Master added AL to the list of accepted sacred texts for the Blue Lodge for candidates to be sworn in on. I was in discussions with the advisor to the Grand Secretary who actually wrote up the proposed legislation and had it presented to the then G.M. Unfortunately this was rescinded just this year by the current Grand Master, and AL is no longer included among the list. The boiler panel mentions that this article needs expansion with more information dealing with Thelema .. it's impossible to find Thelemic points of view to raise considering it spawned FROM Freemasonry. Well if you want to get technical Thelema didn’t spawn from freemasonry, the OTO did. And that is what can be added here, things like info about John Yarker, the Memphis/Misraim rites, OTO's roots in masonry, Crowleys relation to masonry etc…Frater C.U.G. 14:48, 9 Jul 2005 (CDT)

A few questions for you Jachin. Why did you remove most of the references to women and freemasonry? And while the prince hall masons do not have any [i]relevance to Thelemic / Esoteric themes.[i] they are relevant to Freemasonry and that is what the article is about.

and to come to think about it, the info about the GodF you removed is relevant to thelema as that’s one of the Jurisdictions that Crowley was a mason under and that explains why the GLoE did not see Crowley as a Mason.
