'Joseph Thiebes is Priest of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, Initiator, and artist living in the occult district of Portland, Oregon known as "New Alamut." Originally hailing from the wild mountains of Montana, where he began his 20-year study of the occult arts, he served as an officer of Sekhet-Maat Lodge, Ordo Templi Orientis (http://www.sekhetmaat.com) Anno IV:viii-xvii, and as Lodge Master IV:xiii-xvii. Joseph has recently been appointed to the U.S. Grand Lodge Strategic Planning Committee (http://oto-usa.org/planning.html).
Joseph's writing and editing work has contributed to the development of O.T.O. in Portland and to the promulgation of the Law of Thelema worldwide. He is a principal contributor to Thelemapedia (http://www.thelemapedia.org), former editor of Agapé (http://www.oto-usa.org/agape.html) and of Lion & Serpent (http://www.sekhetmaat.com/journal). He is a founding co-producer of the monthly Speech in the Silence (http://speechinthesilence.com/) podcast and the creator of AC2012 (http://ac2012.com/).

Joseph has spoken publicly on a variety of topics including Thelema, magick, and organizational leadership in Portland and various other locations in the U.S. and abroad. He continues to create and offer presentations at Sekhet-Maat Lodge and elsewhere on a regular basis. Each second Tuesday he facilitates discussions on Thelemic texts at the Lodge, and speaks regularly at the biennial National O.T.O. Conference (http://www.notocon.org). Joseph is the creator and moderator of Thelemic Symposium (http://www.thelemic-symposium.com), an annual event since 2002 EV.
