Thelemapedia:Really Simple Tutorial (Editing)
From Thelemapedia
Okay, look up above to the grey bar...that's where all the editing action happens. If you want to make changes to a page, just click on the "edit" button.
This will take you to a page with an editing box where you can change anything you want in the article. You then have the option to preview your changes, save your changes, or cancel, taking the page back to where you found it.
Here are the other elements you will notice on the editing page:
- Summary box: you may choose to leave a brief description of the changes you make
- "This is a minor edit": marks your changes as "no big deal"...good for changes like spelling, adding links, minor formatting, and the like.
- "Watch this page": the article will get added to your "watchlist", which is simply a page that monitors changes to pages you are interested in (you can see your watchlist in the black bar in the top right).
- Cancel: erases any changes you made and takes the article back to its last version.
Ready to try it? Go ahead and click on the edit button on this page, right now. Honestly, you won't break anything...
When you are ready, you can move on to formatting.
