Michael (pronounced: Mi-Kay-el) is depicted in the Book of Daniel as a chief prince of the Persian kingdom and a great prince who protects the people. Later, in the Book of Revelation, Michael is again mentioned, but is referred to as an Archangel who fought against and defeated the great dragon (symbol of satan, the devil, etc.).
