Rules
The time period starts this November, Monday the 8th at midnight and will end Sunday the 14th at midnight.
The winners will be determined by the amount of content they add to either new or existing articles. Every kilobyte of data added is worth 1 point. Entries to "Talk" or "Discussion" pages do not count.
Bonus points will be awarded for the following:
- A first time contributer: +10 points (one time award...please note this in the "Summary" box in your first edit)
- A new article with more than a stub (i.e. a paragraph or less): +5 points per new article
- A new image uploaded and used well: +1 for each image
Although material can be copied over from Wikipedia (or other open-source site, and with a proper reference), verbatim copies will only count 50% of its point value.
Helping out the scorekeeper
If you want to help expediate things for me, you can keep track of your entries. Simply copy all your added content to a text file. With new articles that's easy. But for edits of existing articles, you can get your added info by going to the "Recent changes" link in the left navigation box, find your contributions in the list, hit the "(diff)" link next to each edited entry, and copy everything in the green boxes on the right column. (You do NOT have to do this...I'll happily do it, so only do it if you feel like it).
Help getting started
Be sure to look over the Help and How-to files if you are unfamiliar with adding material to Thelemapedia. If you want to learn how to format your articles, the best way is to browse existing articles and see how they do it. To find topics to write about, here are some good pages to start with:
Have fun!
