==The 10 Sephiroth==

Revision as of 23:33, 9 April 2005

Part of the Tree of Life series

On the Tree of Life, every Sephiroth and Path is represented by dieties from various cultures, namely Egyptian, Hindu, Scandinavian, Greek, Roman, and Christian. The general idea is that the nature of the given Path or Sephiroth is reflected in the character of the attributed godform(s). For example, the Path of Gimel is represented by Luna, and so one attributed godform is Artemis, the Greek goddess of the Moon.

For the Egyptian gods, in 777, Aleister Crowley's book on the Qabalah, he creates a distinction between the general selection and the practical attributions. The columns in 777 relating to the godforms are:

  • XIX—"Selection of Egyptian Gods"
  • XX—"Complete Practical Attribution of Egyptian Gods"
  • XXII—"Small selection of Hindu Deities"
  • XXXIV—"Some Greek Gods"
  • XXXV—"Some Roman Gods"
  • XXXIII—"Some Scandinavian Gods"
  • XXXVI—"Selection of Christian Gods (10); Apostles (12); Evangelists (4) and Churches of Asia (7)"
