Notariqon from the Latin notarius, meaning "short-hand writer," is a technique used in literal Qabalah whereby a single word may be deconstructed into its separate letters with each letter serving as an initial for a separate word.

Additionally, it is also a technique whereby a phrase may be reduced into a single word by taking the first letter of each word in the phrase and combining them in sequence of appearence.
