Hey! The category system in this list is a crock!

Thelema is NOT a "Left-hand Path Religion." Thelema is a Both-hand Path Religion.

"'If thine hand offend thee, cut it off!' is the scream of a weakling." --Aleister Crowley, Magick (64)

I mean, the disclaimer at the top that the categories are only one possible system is all fine and good, but why should we use these categories in Thelemapedia, when they misclassify Thelema?--Paradoxosalpha 20:45, 21 Feb 2005 (CST)

Yeah, I had a shorter list, and Simon replaced it with the Wikipedia version. This needs to be seriously shortened and recategorized. Fr. Ash 20:56, 21 Feb 2005 (CST)
Um, I happened to notice this discussion in the recent changes, and, well, there is a shorter list of religions in the article Religions. Is that the one you wrote? Was this one really replaced? I'm just curious because you posted a bit of a rant about the same individual on my user page, and I have some serious questions about whether what you said there is true. And it looks to me from the history of this article, that you, Ash, never worked on it. Aleph
When Simon was doing his major categorization project, he moved a lot of paged that I had created in the beginning. This would explain why my name isn't on the current history. Update: Here is the original page that I had created: Religions. I haven't spoken a single mistruth in this whole sordid affair...although Simon would love for you to think so  :) —Fr. Ash
Ash, I don't want to get too personal here, but I have experience with Wikipedia before coming here. History moves along with a page. Maybe not everything wrong with Thelemapedia is this guy's fault? Just a thought. Update: but if your page is still there, then he didn't do anything to it, did he? Was your page originally called List of religions or not? It looks like he simply added a page without touching yours except to add a link to the List of religions page. Aleph
By changing out all the links to it, it is essentially the same thing as replacing that page. A page with no links to it is kinda useless on a wiki, don't you think? And, again for the record, I thanked him for his categorization efforts while he was doing it, even though he was moving and replacing several pages that I had created. I didn't get my panties in a twist about his doing that, because I thought that his changes were overall improvements for the site. I didn't complain then, and I'm not complaining now...although I do think this page needs some serious editing. —Fr. Ash
