In Egyptian mythology, the Ogdoad are the eight deities worshipped in Hermopolis. They were arranged in four male/female pairs:

• Nu/Naunet
• Amun/Amaunet
• Kuk/Kauket
• Huh/Hauhet

They created the mound of dirt (Mehturt) from which Ra was born. The gods were associated with frogs and the goddesses were associated with snakes.
