Euclydes Lacerda de Almeida (Frater Thor) was the first Marcelo Motta's student. In 1962, Almeida finds a Motta's book "'Chamando os Filhos do Sol (Calling the Children of the Sun)" e writes to him becoming his chela, first in O.T.O later in A∴A∴.
